Titanium Industry Progress is sponsored by the Titanium Branch of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association (CNIA) and Northwest Institute for Nonferrous Metal Research (NIN), bi-monthly published and distributed at home and abroad. It started publication in 1984, is the only technical publication in the circle of titanium, zirconium and hafnium of China.
    Titanium Industry Progress is devoted to up-to-date progress in titanium practical technology and application development.
   In 1990, Titanium Industry Progress won the second prize for science and technology periodicals, awarded by Shaanxi Association for Science and Technology (SNAST).
    In 1996, the journal won the same prize once more.
    In 1999, the journal was awarded the third prize for outstanding science and technology periodicals by Shaanxi Municipal Bureau of Press and SNAST.

Chinese journal Rare Metal Materials and Engineering is a comprehensive publication of science and technology, presenting research, development, production and application of rare metal materials, monthly published. It started publication in 1970, is distributed at home and abroad. The integral code of the journal is CN61-1154 in China, and the international standard serial number is 1002-185X. It is sponsored by the Nonferrous Metals Society of China (NFSCO), Chinese Materials Research Society (C-MRS) and Northwest Institute for Nonferrous Metal Research (NIN), published by Science Press.
 The leading board of the journal is an editorial
committee consisting of 14 academicians and 7 foreign professors and dozens of experts. Prof. Changxu Shi, a well-known academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and of Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), is invited as the counselor; and Prof. Zhou Lian, an academician of CAE, is the president of the committee, while the editor-in-chief is Prof. Weihong Yin. 
Rare Metal Materials and Engineering has developed to be an influential publication in the international science & technology information circles and in domestic academic community. The impact factor of the journal in 2005 was 1.184, ranking the first in the metallurgy and metal technology category of Chinese journals.
