PITTSBURGH Asian Metal 16 Feb 13 – Molybdenum: The molybdenum market in the US is in a rather pessimistic trend as prices for oxide and ferromolybdenum are following more of a downward trend than anything else.

   There is a lot of concern surrounding the long-term performance of downstream industries, such as stainless steel production, however, some possibilities for uptick are present, especially if tubing production increases in the oil industry. Despite speculation on the downstream side of the market, many are concerned over the potential for increased supply that has the chance to hurt figures even more in the short-term.
